Theoprofil cold room valves are offered at competitive prices. Their function is to balance the difference between the atmospheric pressure inside the cold room and the atmospheric pressure outside. They operate through the movement caused by pressure on two balanced discs inside the valves. This allows the internal discs to open and close according to the chamber’s pressure. The valve’s operation ultimately prevents the formation of condensation droplets and excessive pressure inside the cold room. This results in longer preservation time of products inside the chamber and less strain on the cold room panels, thanks to reduced pressure and consequently longer lifespan of the cold room.
All Theoprofil cold room valves are protected on the outside by an insect-proof mesh. Valves designed for use in freezing chambers are heated with an electric resistance of 7-36 Watts / 220 Volts to prevent ice formation on the valve discs. The temperature of the resistance can be controlled easily with a simple thermostat-timer.
Installation Instructions:
They can be installed horizontally on side panels or vertically (only in specific models) on the ceiling panels of the chamber. A round hole must be drilled into the panel, and the valve is then fastened with self-drilling screws provided with the valves.
Benefits of Using a Valve in a Cold Room:
- Guaranteed optimal food preservation
- Longer lifespan of the cold room
- Available models for both refrigeration and freezing
- Prevention of cracks at panel joints which cause ice formation inside the chamber
- Prevention of sudden door openings with destructive consequences
